for my pastel painting,
"The Gondolier's Wife"
12" x 16", Pastel on paper.We were in Italy last year, and saw this woman bathing in the harbor on the Isle of Capri. While she wasn't really the wife of a gondola driver (or maybe she was?!!), she wore that hat which reminded us of the Gondoliers we saw wearing them in Venice. Maybe Capri is where the Venetian wives go while thier hubbies are hard at work!
