16" x20" , Pastel on BoardHere's another pastel on Ampersand Hardbord. I really like working on this heavy , textured board. It can stand up to pretty much any kind of beating! I did the underpainting in hard pastels, wet it down with a sponge to sort of "shmear" the colors all over the board.. and then after it dried, went back in with soft pastels. I tried to vary the strokes, using different directions, different edges of the pastel, and my finger to smear. It's one of the first landscapes I've done in pastelsl and was a lot of fun.....Hope you enjoy!
