"Tuscan Day"

8" x 10" , Orirginal watercolor on Arches paper

I'm teaching a watercolor class at home each week, which is lots of fun for me, and I hope, for the group I am teaching! This was a demo piece using a background wash of Quinacridone Gold (made by Windsor Newton), and then another wash of Opera (hot pink, also by WN). The two washes, one over the other, create a wonderful warm glowing base for any landscape.. especially this Tuscan subject matter, which has so much warmth in it to begin with.
