"Long Road Home"

From a recent Plein Air painting trip I took to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands in Virginia.

Along the road to and from the island , are salt marshes that are as vast and wide as can be, and this one lonely boat always sits there. The sun was still rising as we were leaving, and I had to stop for this one more picture to bring back home with me....
